A man has been arrested after €300,000 of heroin was seized by gardaí in Saggart, County Dublin on Thursday.

Gardaí conducted a search of a house at approximately 11pm on Thursday evening, where 2kg of suspected heroin and smaller quantities of suspected cannabis and cocaine were seized.

All drugs are now subject to analysis by Forensic Science Ireland.

A man in his 40s was arrested by gardaí at the scene and is currently being held in a garda station in Dublin.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
