Gardaí are investigating the discovery of a man’s body in a house in Co Monaghan.

The dead man was found at a residence in Clones at around 10pm on Saturday.

The man’s body remained at the scene overnight on Saturday. It was removed on Sunday.

The house was sealed off to facilitate a technical examination by gardaí.

Gardaí said they are investigating “all the circumstances” surrounding the discovery of the body.

They said a postmortem examination would take place at Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan on Monday, the results of which would determine the course of the investigation.
