One of three women injured in a serious assault in Co Louth earlier this month has died.

The attack happened at a home in Glenwood Estate in Dundalk on Friday May 3rd.

The women were first taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda and Louth County Hospital in Dundalk.

Gardaí confirmed that one of the women died at a hospital in Dublin on Monday, 10 days after the incident.

A man has appeared in court in relation to the incident.
