Two men have been arrested after cocaine and cannabis worth over €1.7 million was seized in Dublin.

Gardaí intercepted two vehicles in Swords just before 8pm on Tuesday night, and then carried out follow-up searches at two houses.

They found six kilos of cocaine, 65 kilos of cannabis, €100,000 in cash, as well as a cocaine press, mixing agent, and three high-value vehicles.

The men in their 40s and 50s are being questioned at a Garda station in the Dublin region, where they can be held for up to a week.
