Gardaí arrested one man and seized cash, a car and jewellery during the course of a search in Dublin 13 on Friday.

Shortly after 2.30pm, as a result of ongoing investigations into the sale and supply of drugs in the J District (Raheny, Clontarf, Howth), gardaí conducted a search of a residence in the Balmayne area.

A total of €14,110 in cash was seized in addition to a Volkswagen Golf R Line valued at over €40,000, €2,000 of designer shoes and clothing, and a gold bracelet valued at €4,500.

A mobile phone, weighing scales and other items of evidential value were also seized.

A man in his 20s was arrested at the scene and detained at a Garda station in the Dublin R=region under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

He has since been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Investigations are ongoin, gardaí said.
