Two men are in hospital after shots were fired at a residence in the Shangan area of Ballymun, Dublin 9.

The incident happened shortly after 3am on Tuesday. Their injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

The scene is currently preserved for technical examination and an investigation into the incident is ongoing at Ballymun Garda Station.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.

Any road users or people travelling in the Shangan area between 2:45am and 3:15am who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to gardaí.
