A man is in hospital this evening after being attacked in Cork last night.

Gardaí received a report of an assault at around 23:55pm in the Allen's Quay in Youghal.

A man in his 30s was reportedly involved in a stabbing incident has been taken to Cork University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Another man in his 30s has been arrested and investigations are ongoing.
