On March 8th, voters will be asked to cast their vote on two proposed changes to the Constitution.

The 39th and 40th amendments seek to make changes to the Constitution to expand the definition of a family and to alter the reference to work in the home and recognise the role of carers.

Past referendums prompted heated debate, reflected changing attitudes and, in some cases, made history around the world.
