A man has been arrested after €280,000 of cannabis was seized by revenue in Dublin Airport on Thursday.

Approximately 14 kg of herbal cannabis was discovered when Revenue officers stopped and searched the baggage of a passenger who had disembarked a flight from Los Angeles, USA.

A man in his 30s was arrested and has been charged and is before the courts.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
