A man in his 20s has been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged drug-related intimidation in Dublin.

Gardaí in the North Dublin region arrested the man on Monday under organised crime legislation.

He is currently detained under section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007 at a Garda station in North Dublin.

The arrest was made as part of Operation Fógra which aims to combat drug-related intimidation, which has been identified as a major sources of community harm and fear.

Gardaí said investigations into the matter are ongoing.
