Man (20s) dies after being hit by lorry in Co Meath

A pedestrian has died after being hit by a lorry in Co Meath.

The man, aged in his 20s, was struck at around 9pm on Friday night on the N2 at Knavinstown in Ashbourne. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The lorry driver was uninjured.

A technical examination of the scene was conducted on Saturday morning.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward.
