A man has been hospitalised after a reported stabbing in Temple Bar in Dublin.

Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to an incident on Fishamble Street shortly before 9.30pm on Thursday night.

A man in his 20s sustained a laceration to his hand and was taken to St James's Hospital for treatment.

His injuries are not described as life-threatening and gardaí are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
