Gardaí say they are aware of footage which shows the moment a gunman was killed in a restaurant in Blanchardstown in Dublin.

The video, which remains on the social media platform X as of Wednesday afternoon, shows a close up of 25-year-old Tristian Sherry, lying on the ground covered in blood moments before he died.

Gardaí suspect the graphic content was filmed by the attackers and are asking the public not to share it.

The incident unfolded inside a restaurant filled with customers, including families out for Christmas Eve celebrations

A man in his 40s continues to receive treatment for gunshot wounds sustained in the incident at Browne’s Steakhouse.

Gardai said he remained in a serious condition in hospital on Tuesday.

No arrests have yet been made and gardaí have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Gardaí have also stepped up uniformed patrols in Dublin after the incident amid fears of reprisal attacks.
