Gardaí investigating a fatal road traffic incident in Dublin on Monday evening are appealing for witnesses.

Emergency services were called to Grand Parade shortly before 6pm following a low impact collision involving two cars.

The driver of one of the cars, a man in his late 60s, was treated at the scene and taken to St Vincent’s University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the second car did not require immediate medical treatment.

A postmortem exam is due to take place, which will determine the course of the investigation.
