Man (60s) dies after road crash in Co Wexford

A man has died in a road crash in Co Wexford.

Gardaí were alerted to the incident at Duffry Gate in Enniscorthy shortly before 7am on Thursday.

The driver, aged in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body will be removed to Waterford University Hospital for a post-mortem. The road is currently closed for an examination by forensic collision investigators.

There were no other injuries.

Gardaí in Enniscorthy are appealing for any witnesses, especially those who may have video or dash cam footage, to come forward.
