A man has been arrested after €250,000 worth of cannabis and cash was seized by gardaí in Finglas.

Gardaí seized €250,000 of suspected cannabis herb along with a sum of cash when they stopped a vehicle on the M50 on Saturday morning, along with €6,000 of cash.

The drugs will now undergo analysis by Forensic Science Ireland (FSI).

The man, aged in his early 40s, was arrested at the scene, and he is currently being detained at a Garda station in North Dublin.

Gardaí said investigations into the matter are ongoing.
