A motorcyclist, aged in his 30s, has died after a collision with a van in Co Wicklow on Friday.

Gardaí and emergency services are currently attending the scene of the fatal two-vehicle road traffic collision, which occurred at approximately 8.05am at Corballis Upper, Rathdrum.

The male driver of the motorcycle (30s) was pronounced deceased at the scene, the male driver of the van (50s) received treatment at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries.

The road is currently closed for examination by forensic collision investigators. Local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.

Any road users or pedestrians who may have camera footage (including dash-cam), and who were travelling in the area of Corballis Upper, Rathdrum on Friday between 7.30am and 8.30am are asked to make this footage available to gardaí.
