A fourth person has been charged in connection with the serious assault of a teenage boy in Sligo.

He will appear before Sligo District Court on Friday morning. The teenage boy was arrested on Thursday evening in connection with the attack.

On Wednesday, three other teenagers appeared in court in connection to the incident.

This follows the serious assault of a boy on Tuesday evening in Sligo, which has left him in serious condition in Beaumont hospital.
