Fourth man arrested in connection with aggravated burglary in Co Sligo

A man aged in his 60s has been arrested in connection with an aggravated burglary in Co Sligo last year.

The incident took place at a residential property in Skreen on January 18th, 2022.

The man was arrested on Thursday under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 and is currently detained at a Garda station in Co Sligo.

He is the fourth man to be arrested in connection with the incident. The three other men were charged and have appeared before the courts in relation to the matter.

Gardaí said investigations are ongoing and no further information is available at this time.
