The management of a hotel in Cork have said they are "horrified" after violent scenes at an event there over the weekend.

Video footage from the Bingo Loco event, held on Saturday night at the Rochestown Park Hotel in Douglas, has been circulating online, showing a large brawl which broke out during the event.

Gardaí previously confirmed they responded to reports of a public order disturbance at the premises on Saturday night, resulting in the arrest of a man in his 50s and a woman in her 20s. Both were later released without charge.

Two men were taken to Cork University Hospital following the incident for treatment of minor injuries.

As reported by the Irish Examiner, the hotel's management said it will fully cooperate with the ongoing Garda investigation into the incident "and hopes that this investigation will hold those responsible for their actions on the night fully accountable".

They added that the hotel has hosted Bingo Loco "numerous times" over recent years, but said Saturday night's event was "was marred by a couple of groups of people who attended on the night".
