Stretch of Dublin motorway closes for hours after fatal incident

A stretch of Dublin motorway is to remain closed for hours following a fatal incident.
The incident took place on the N3 motorway at Blanchardstown at about 10.50am on Friday morning.
The N3 inbound is expected to remain closed for a number of hours to allow for an examination of the scene.
Gardaí are at the scene and local diversions are in place.
Motorists have been advised to avoid the area.
N3: all inbound lanes have closed from J2 Connolly hospital to the M50. Traffic is being diverted off at Connolly Hospital and back to M50 Roundabout. Emergency services are on scene. Please avoid the area if possible. #m50safety
