A man in his 50s has died after his vehicle was in collision with a truck in Co Tipperary.

The crash occurred just after noon on Monday on the N62 at Whitefields, Templemore.

The man was the sole occupant of the vehicle when it was in collision with the truck.

The truck driver, also a man in his 50s, was uninjured.

A technical examination by forensic collision investigators is scheduled for Tuesday morning.

Gardaí in Thurles are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them.

Any road users who were travelling on the road between midday and 12.30pm and have camera footage are asked to make it available to gardaí, citing reference PR20554/2023.
