Woman (50s) killed in Donegal collision involving lorry

A woman has died following a road traffic collision involving a car and a lorry in Co Donegal.

The crash took place on the R238 Muff/Moville road at Moville at around 8am on Friday morning.

The driver of the car, a woman aged in her 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the truck, a man also aged in his 50s, was taken to hospital for assessment.

The road remains closed while Garda forensic collision investigators examine the scene. Road diversions have been put in place between Redcastle and Moville.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information, including road users with camera (including dashcam) footage, to contact Buncrana Garda station on 074-932 0540, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666 111 or any Garda station.
