A woman in her 50s has died in a road crash in Co Leitrim.

The two-car collision happened on the R280 at Lisnabrack, Carrick on Shannon shortly before 6pm on Thursday evening.

The road remains closed this morning and local diversions are in place.

Gardaí asking anyone with dash-cam or video footage of the R280 around the time of the crash to contact them at Carrick on Shannon Garda Station.
