Gardaí have arrested two men after a drugs seizure in Dublin.

Gardaí seized approximately €240,000 of suspected drugs and arrested two men during searches conducted as part of Operation Tara in the Blanchardstown area of Dublin 15 on Wednesday, 13th September 2023.

Gardaí attached to the Divisional Drugs Unit at Finglas Garda Station, along with regular uniform units and the Garda Dog Unit conducted a search of a premises during Wednesday afternoon.

Over the course of this search, approximately €240,000 of suspected cannabis was seized along with €2,600 in cash.

All of the suspected drugs will now be sent to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis.

Two men (40s and 20s) have been arrested in connection with this seizure and are currently detained at a Garda Station in North Dublin under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

This investigation is ongoing.
