Police search for man 'unlawfully at large' in West Belfast

Police in the North are searching for a man "unlawfully at large" in West Belfast.

The man was arrested at 12.15pm on Saturday following reports of a burglary in the Falls Road area of the city.

However, he absconded from police custody a short time later.

In a statement, the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said the man is aged in his 20s, with dark hair. He is described as wearing black shorts and a black t-shirt and was handcuffed to the front.

"We are advising the public to not approach the man but to call 999 immediately if seen," the PSNI added.
