Counterfeit cigarettes worth €10m seized in Dublin

Counterfeit cigarettes worth around €10 million have been seized in Dublin.

They were recovered during a search carried out under warrant at a yard in the west of the city on Tuesday by gardaí working on Operation Tara.

The counterfeit cigarettes, which represent a loss to the exchequer of around €7.5 million, have now been sent for analysis.

No arrests were made, gardaí said.
