A man has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged robbery in Dublin.

It happened at a business premises in Dublin 5 at around 9:25pm last night.

A man entered a shop in Artane armed with a screwdriver and threatened staff to get the contents of the cash register.

No money was taken, and he then fled the scene on foot with an amount of alcohol towards the Kilmore Road.

A man in his 30s is expected to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice on Monday.
