A man in his 30s is in a serious but stable condition in hospital after he was assaulted in Templeogue, Dublin, in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

He was discovered by a passer-by on the Templeogue Rd with serious injuries.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time, who may have witnessed the attack, to come forward.
