Man with serious burn injuries dies in Dublin housefire

A man has died in a housefire in Dublin in the early hours of Monday morning.

Emergency services attended the scene in Drumcondra at 2.45am.

A man in his 50s was taken to the Mater Hospital with serious burn injuries, and later passed away.

A number of other people managed to escape the blaze uninjured.

Gardaí remain at the scene today and the investigation is continuing.
