Singer Jessie J confirms split with basketball player boyfriend Chanan Colman

Singer Jessie J has confirmed her relationship with basketball player Chanan Colman has ended.

The 38-year-old singer, who has a son Sky with Colman, 42, said she would continue to be friends with him as they co-parent their child, in a post on Instagram.

Jessie J, whose real name is Jessica Cornish, said: “Chanan and I decided to end our romantic relationship some time ago.

“It has been a sad and difficult situation, but we have been focused on navigating the change privately and positively for a healthy and happy co-parenting environment for our son, and ourselves.

“Unfortunately, being in the public eye, this is the easiest way to let people know the truth, before rumours circulate or a false narrative is written.

“We will always continue supporting each other with love, respect and care as friends and most importantly being Sky’s mum and dad, so if you see us out and about together as a family, or posting each other on socials every now and again, that’s exactly what we are doing.

“Raising and loving Sky together, supported with a positive friendship.”

The Price Tag singer has reportedly been with Colman since 2021, with Cornish sharing a picture of the couple holding their son in the post.

It comes after Cornish said she had “sobbed for hours” after learning she was cancer free in May, having been diagnosed with breast cancer last year, which led to her temporarily stepping back from performing to undergo treatment.

Cornish was awarded four Mobo awards in 2011. Her latest album, Don’t Tease Me With A Good Time, was released in November 2025.
