Noughties girl group Mis-Teeq are to return to the stage for the first time in more than 20 years with their One Night Stand gig at London’s Wembley Arena.

The trio, made up of Alesha Dixon, Sabrina Washington and Su-Elise Nash, will reunite to celebrate 25 years since their debut album Lickin’ On Both Sides, which featured hit singles such as All I Want, Why and One Night Stand, on September 12th.

In an interview with British Vogue, Dixon said: “It feels like it is just slotting back into place, guys, it’s just like it used to be – me saying too much and them two looking at me like, ‘oh, here she goes’.

“We’ve been offered reunion stuff over the years, but it’s never felt right, this time, everything just lined up.”

Nash said: “We’re looking pretty good, you know, we basically look the same as we did 20 years ago.”

Washington said: “This means so much to us because we’ve done it out of love, and that’s why we’re still standing, the three of us, and why we’ve come back. Out of love.”

The group announced their return with an Instagram video replicating the cover of Lickin’ On Both Sides, which shows the singers on motorbikes, with the clip showing them racing through London pursued by police.

It comes after the band teased their return on Friday with a post on Instagram which read: “This profile has been claimed by Mis-Teeq, please hold tight for further updates.”
