Linda Perry to receive special international award at The Ivors

4 Non Blondes singer and guitarist Linda Perry is to receive a special international gong at the 2026 Ivor Novello Awards.
The 61-year-old US musician will be recognised for the impact her career has had on the UK music industry, with the announcement being followed by an Amazon Music mini- documentary, Anatomy Of An Earworm, which will tell the story of her song Beautiful, which was recorded by Christina Aguilera.
Perry said: “It’s an honour to be recognised for my song-writing contributions at the 71st Ivor Novello Awards. So many incredible artists have been celebrated and I am humbled to be standing alongside them.”
The Massachusetts-born star is best known for her work with alternative rock band 4 Non Blondes, which saw her write UK top 10 hit What’s Up?, along with Spaceman, Dear Mr President and Pleasantly Blue.

She has also worked as a writer alongside popstars Aguilera, P!nk, Gwen Stefani, Alicia Keys, Celine Dion, Miley Cyrus, Adele, and Ariana Grande, with her songs for other artists including Get The Party Started performed by P!nk, and What You Waiting For? recorded by Stefani.

Perry recently announced her first solo album in 25 years in Let It Die Here, which will be released on May 8.
Her award follows Spanish singer-songwriter Rosalia being named international song-writer of the year at the awards, which will take place at Grosvenor House in London on May 21 and see the winners of the event’s main award categories revealed.
