Australian drama The Twelve: Cape Rock Killer, starring Jurassic Park actor Sam Neill, is to be aired exclusively on ITV.

The third installment of The Twelve series will see Neill reprise his role as formidable defence barrister Brett Colby.

ITV said Colby is “thrust into a sensational murder trial to defend the husband of a lifelong friend”.

“As the trial unfolds, it reopens a chilling 1968 cold case involving two teenagers, forcing the 12 jurors to confront a mystery that threatens to unravel their own lives,” it added.

The eight-part series also stars New Zealand actresses Danielle Cormack and Sarah Peirse, and Australian actor Ewen Leslie.

Neill starred in the first two seasons of hit BBC drama Peaky Blinders and has also had roles in major Hollywood films including the Jurassic Park series.

Produced by Warner Bros International TV Production Australia and Easy Tiger Productions, The Twelve: Cape Rock Killer will be available to stream as a full boxset on ITVX from May 31st.
