Singer Olivia Rodrigo has announced she will release her third studio album this summer.

Rodrigo, 23, known for the hit songs Good 4 You and Driver’s Licence, said her new record, You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love, will be out on June 12th.

Rodrigo posted the album cover on Instagram on Thursday, which features the singer in a pink dress and black heels, laughing upside down on a swing.

She told her 39.1 million fans: “My third album ‘you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love’ is out June 12th.

“I am so proud of this record and I can’t wait for you to hear it.”

The post was flooded with comments of support and excitement from fans and fellow stars including singers Addison Rae, Suki Waterhouse and Gracie Abrams.

Rodrigo, who starred in the Disney+ series High School Musical: The Musical: The Series as a teenager, rose to fame after releasing her Grammy-award winning 2021 single Driver’s Licence.

The song shot to number one in the UK singles charts and was followed by her debut album Sour, which also made it to the top of the UK charts and won the best pop vocal album and best new artist Grammy in 2022.

In 2023 she released her second album, Guts, which was followed by the deluxe version Guts (spilled).

The announcement comes nearly a year after She headlined Glastonbury Festival.
