Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas have been confirmed to be among the stars attending the 2026 Dublin International Film Festival.

They are to be in attendance for the world premiere of John Carney's latest musical-comedy, Power Ballad, on the festival's closing night.

It will close this year's 11-day festival, with a screening on March 1st at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre.

Carney is known for having directed films such as Sing Street and Once.

Power Ballad was filmed in Ireland and features a mix of Irish and international talent.

The story follows Rick (Paul Rudd), a past-his-prime wedding singer, who crosses paths with Danny (Nick Jonas), a fading boyband star, during a gig.

Bonding over music and a late-night jam session, the two strike up an unlikely friendship.

However, when the pair return to their respective worlds, they discover the chance encounter upending both their lives in different ways.

The film has been described as a rousing, feel-good story about music, self-respect, friendship, and the price of ambition.
