Pop duo Wham! and singer Michael Buble have topped the final UK singles and albums charts of 2025 respectively, the Official Charts Company has confirmed.

Buble, 50, topped the album charts with 2011’s Christmas for the eighth time non-consecutively while Wham!, who are made up of Andrew Ridgeley and the late George Michael, topped the singles chart with 1984’s Last Christmas, having also been Christmas number one in 2023 and 2024.

In the singles chart, the rest of the top five was made up of Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You (two), Brenda Lee’s Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree (three), Kylie Minogue’s Xmas (four), and Fairytale Of New York by The Pogues featuring the late Kirsty MacColl (five).

Wham!: Last Christmas Unwrapped
Wham! have topped the last singles chart of 2025 with Last Christmas (PA)

It comes after Minogue’s single was crowned Christmas number one last week while Last Christmas was number two at Christmas, seeing its 12th non-consecutive week at number one.

The Australian singer, 57, saw her project Kylie Christmas (Fully Wrapped) return to the albums chart top 20, moving up nine places.

Chris Rea’s Driving Home For Christmas re-entered the top 10 this week, following the Middlesbrough-born singer’s death aged 74 on Monday.

The rest of the top five in the albums chart was made up of Olivia Dean’s The Art Of Loving (two), Taylor Swift’s The Life Of A Showgirl (three), Sabrina Carpenter’s Man’s Best Friend (four), and Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours (five).

Dean’s The Art Of Loving topped the official vinyl chart for the most physical records sold, while rising US rock band Geese’s latest album Getting Killed topped the official record store chart for selling the most records in the UK’s independent record shops.

Rising mysterious UK rapper EsDeeKid saw his debut LP Rebel re-enter the top 10, reaching a new peak of eight, having seemingly dismissed rumours he is Timothee Chalamet by including the A Complete Unknown star in his 4 Raws Remix video.
