Influencer Niamh Cullen has paid an emotional tribute following the death of her husband Jamie Gill.

Mr Gill died overnight and only days after the couple celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary.

The couple married in Borgo di Tragliata in Italy last November.

On her social media platforms, Niamh shared a video of them both in happier times. She said: “The unimaginable has happened. Our worst nightmare.

“My beautiful husband has been taken from us.”

The popular woman added, “The light of my life. I was the luckiest to be loved and adored by you, Jamie. I love you endlessly, not just now, but eternally.”

The Dublin native shared her husband’s diagnosis earlier this month, highlighting his “strength throughout this entire journey.”

She explained how a serious surgery before Christmas last year resulted in the discovery of a cancerous tumour.

Following his 10th chemotherapy session, Jamie was taken to the hospital once again and diagnosed with sepsis, which then led to pneumonia.

On hearing the news, the model and wife of former Rugby player Rob Kearney said: “Seeing you so much love Niamh. Jamie was a hero and so lucky to have loved and be loved by you.”

Model and RTÉ 2FM radio host added: “Niamh, you and Jamie deserved to have the best long life of marriage. The world is so unfair, what a lovely genuine person he was. I’m so sorry the worst has happened.”
