Rock superstars Kings of Leon have announced a show at Thomond Park, Limerick, next summer.

The Electric Picnic 2025 headliners will play the stadium on July 1st, 2026.

Tickets priced €89.75 and €99.75, including booking fee, will go on sale on Friday, November 21st, at 9am via Ticketmaster.ie.

Recognised as one of the world's biggest alternative rock bands of the last 20 years, Kings of Leon’s rich tour history includes headlining festivals such as Coachella, Glastonbury, Roskilde, Reading and Leeds, numerous Lollapaloozas in Berlin, Sao Paulo, Chicago, Santiago, plus multiple open-air Irish concerts including Slane Castle in 2011.

They also reclaimed their all-time attendance record, with a recent fifth night at London's massive Hyde Park venue.

Since their debut in 2003, Kings of Leon (Caleb (guitar/vocals), Nathan (drums), Jared (bass) and Matthew Followill (guitar)) have released nine albums - Youth & Young Manhood (2003), Aha Shake Heartbreak (2004), Because of the Times (2007), Only by the Night (2008), Come Around Sundown (2010), Mechanical Bull (2013), WALLS (2016), When You See Yourself (2021), 'Can we please have fun’ (2024), sold over 20 million albums and nearly 40 million singles worldwide. Accolades include eight Grammy award nominations, three Grammy wins, three NME Awards, two Brit Awards, and one Juno Award.

Last week, Kings of Leon dropped an EP with four new songs. Other recent releases include a ‘Live in Jersey’ single from Zach Bryan featuring Bruce Springsteen and Kings of Leon, covering the Springsteen classic “Atlantic City’, and, prior to that, a couple of new songs with Zach Bryan.
