The owners of Slane Castle have hinted at the next gig to take place at the famous venue.

A video posted on its Instagram page strongly implies that American country singer, Luke Combs, will be playing the Co Meath event.

It is speculated that a two-day event is in the works for next summer, with Oasis also rumoured to make the bill.

Luke Combs won his first major award back in 2017, and since then has acquired an impressive list of achievements.

He claimed the Country Music Awards' title of entertainer of the year - the top honour - two years running in 2021 and 2022.

Combs' cover of Tracy Chapman's Fast Car propelled the song to number one on the iTunes charts in 2024, as reported and was later named song of the year at the Country Music Awards, making Ms Chapman the first black woman to win the award.

MCD productions are expected to confirm the details of Summer 2026's line-up on Thursday.
