Shayne Ward will return to Ireland to headline two shows in Dublin's Ambassador Theatre next month.

Ward, who won the second series of The X Factor, will perform on Friday, October 10th, and Saturday, October 11th.

Tickets are on sale from Ticketmaster from €50.20.

Ward's debut single ‘That’s My Goal’ was the 2005 Christmas No 1 and spent four weeks at the top of the chart. It sold 2 million copies and is still one of the all-time 20 biggest best-selling debut singles.

It was followed by two more hit singles, ‘No Promises’ and ‘Stand By Me’.

These songs are all featured on his self-titled debut album, which entered the chart at No 1 in April with first week sales 200,000 copies.

Ward has since had three further Top 40 hits and three more hit albums.

Away from music, he has acted across television, film, and theatre. He is best known for his role as Aidan Connor in ITV’s Coronation Street, which he played from 2015 to 2018.

On stage, he received critical praise for his performance as Stacee Jaxx in the West End production of Rock of Ages and went on to appear in national tours of The War of the Worlds and Band of Gold.

His film work includes a lead role in the 2020 feature Black Ops, directed by Tom Paton, and he will next be seen in the 2024 comedy-thriller Young Gun alongside Alexis Rodney.

Ward currently stars in the Paramount/Channel 5 drama The Good Ship Murder, where he also wrote and performs the theme song.

In 2024, he expanded his repertoire once again as a contestant on the BBC series Strictly Come Dancing.
