Lucy Kennedy teases a presidential campaign in the season premiere of Gogglebox Ireland on Wednesday night.

The presenter and author joins Kerry TD Michael Healy Rae on the Gogglebox couch, and in a clip released earlier on Wednesday, she is seen jokingly saying she will run for president.

Meanwhile, Marty Whelan playfully put his support behind broadcasting legend Mary Kennedy for president, saying, "I think we could do with a President Kennedy again."

The 11th season of Gogglebox Ireland premieres with a bumper celebrity lineup, with Louis Walsh, Rosie O'Donnell, Tommy Bowe, Emma Doran, Garron Noone and Pat Shortt among the personalities settling in for a night of telly.

Other celebs on the couch on Wednesday night include PJ Kirby and Kevin Twomey, of the I'm Grand Mam podcast, who are joined by PJ's mam Nuala; Jason Byrne and Jason McAteer; Ireland AM's Muireann O’Connell, Elaine Crowley and Eric Roberts; Irish rugby legend Tommy Bowe joined by Andrew Trimble; The Young Hot Guys podcasting trio of Shane Daniel Byrne, Tony Cantwell and Killian Sunderman; and Virgin Media journalists Gavan Reilly, Zara King and Richard Chambers.

Other celebs include Dave Fanning, Ray D'Arcy, Dustin the Turkey, Zig and Zag, Chasers Darragh Ennis, Shaun Wallace and Jenny Ryan and Gogglebox narrator Deirdre O'Kane, who is stepping out from behind the mic for the night to join fellow funny woman Emma Doran, with a surprise guest taking over voiceover duties.

Season 11 premieres at 9pm on Wednesday night on Virgin Media Play and Virgin Media One.
