RTÉ 2FM’s new weekend presenters go live this Saturday, with a host of new voices on the airwaves.

The refreshed weekend schedule kicks off at 7am on March 15th.

After a public search, including an expressions of interest competition, a host of Irish broadcasters will make their 2FM debut.

Benny Bracken, Helen Galgey, Mikey O'Reilly and Demi Isaac will be bringing their unique style, passion for music and perspectives to 2FM.

Bláthnaid Treacy, Emma Power, Graham Smyth, Jenny Greene, Dave Treacy, Conor Behan, and Cormac Battle will return to weekends.

The weekend lineup starts on Saturday morning with Helen Galgey and Benny Bracken in 2FM Weekend Breakfast with Helen and Benny. They will be keeping listeners company from 7-9am every day, each Saturday and Sunday.

2FM Weekend Morning with Bláthnaid Treacy goes live from 9am-12pm, with prizes, tunes, the 60 Second Sports Sprint, and the What’s Wrong With Ye Quiz.

On air from 12-3pm is 2FM Weekend Afternoon with Demi and Mikey. The show will be broadcast live by Mikey in Dublin and by Demi in RTÉ’s Cork studio.

From 3-6pm, Emma Power and Graham Smyth will be on with 2FM Weekend Drive with Emma and Graham.

Jenny Greene will be on in 2FM’s Electric Disco with Jenny Greene from 6-8pm on Saturdays, while Dave Treacy will present 2FM Dance with Dave Treacy from 8-10pm on Saturday nights.

From 10pm-1am, Mr Spring will be on with The Spring Sessions.

On Sundays from 6-8pm, Conor Behan will be on with 2FM Sunday Rewind with Conor Behan. The show will be a two-hour trip down memory lane.

Head of RTÉ 2FM, Dan Healy, said the hunt for new 2FM presenters was launched in June 2024 and had an initial response of over 550 applicants.

“From those initial applications, 145 people were invited to Studio 8 at the RTÉ Radio Centre for a short interview. 40 candidates were then invited to a day-long Producers Workshop, followed by the recording of pilot programmes.

“After the pilots, our new teams of Demi and Mikey, and Helen and Benny were asked to join the 2FM family,” Healy said.
