Accumulated profits at the media firm owned by actor, TV, and radio presenter, Laura Whitmore, have this year climbed to €3.8 million (£3.16 million).

New accounts show that Whitmore’s Yer Wan Ltd has recorded post-tax profits of €251,168 (£208,677) in the 12 months to the end of March 31st this year.

The post-tax profits of €251,168 are a 46 per cent decline on the €465,492 (£386,746) post-tax profits recorded for the prior year.

The profit for this year resulted in the company’s accumulated profits rising from €3.55 million (£2.95 million) to €3.8 million (£3.16 million).

The profits of the last two years at the Whitmore firm follow the company recording post tax profits of €865,960 (£719,446) in fiscal 2022 and post tax profits of €787,990 (£654,688) in fiscal 2021.

The new accounts show that the cash funds at the London registered Yer Wan Ltd declined by €502,092 (£417,155) from €3.44 million (£2.86 million) to €2.94 million (£2.442 million) this year.

However, during the same period the amount owed to the company by debtors increased from €249,417 (£207,200) to €1.03 million (£859,029).

The Co Wicklow native’s career in the UK has continued to flourish - mainly on the stage - after Ms Whitmore decided to step back in 2022 from her presenting role for ITV ratings winner, Love Island that made her one of the most recognisable faces on UK television.

Days after the season finale in August 2022, the 39-year old walked away from her very lucrative Love lsland work and first told her 1.5 million followers on Instagram of her decision.

The TV personality presented her three series of Love Island between 2020 and 2022.

Last Summer, Whitmore returned to the Irish stage at the 3Olympia in Dublin to reprise her role in her successful West End production in London where she played Jenny in the hit supernatural thriller 2:22 A Ghost Story.

Whitmore will return to the stage here next Summer where she will star in a stage adaptation of Paula Hawkins’s best seller, Girl on a Train and it is due to be staged at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre in Dublin, the Everyman Theatre in Cork and the Grand Opera House in Belfast.

Whitmore is to also feature in the A Mother for an Hour feature film.

The revenues and salary pay at Whitmore's company - which employs one person - are not disclosed.

One of Ireland’s most successful broadcasters operating abroad, DCU graduate, Laura Whitmore has also worked for Channel 4 and MTV in the UK.

As her celebrity status increased over recent years due to her ‘Love Island’ work, Whitmore - always very protective over her personal life - has used her platform to show the reality of dealing with intrusive paparazzi and has also hit back at online trolls.

The Bray woman studied journalism at Dublin City University (DCU) where she edited a student magazine and worked as a researcher for Newstalk for a period.

In 2008, Whitmore entered the Myspace/MTV Pick Me competition and beat off 3,000 other hopefuls to win a coveted MTV news role on the international music channel.
