The price of buying a home in Ireland last year rose by 9 per cent, according to the latest report from Daft.ie

The average open-market rent nationwide in the third quarter was €1,955 per month, up 7.7 per cent year-on-year

Housing prices nationally rose by an average of 1.8% in the first three months of 2024, according to the latest House Price Report.

Just 11,000 houses were listed for sale on Daft.ie on December 1st, 27% fewer than on the same date a year earlier.

Property website Daft.ie found a noticeable difference between trends in the capital and elsewhere in the second quarter.

The latest Daft.ie report shows nationally prices fell by 0.5 per cent in the past year

The average market rent nationwide between January and March was €1,750 per month, according to property website Daft.ie.

There are now slightly more homes available to buy in Ireland than a year ago, the first time since mid-2019 that this has been the case.
