Most remaining faults which have led to power outages across the country have an estimated repair time of 7pm on Sunday evening.

They said the areas that remain without power are predominantly in the Northwest, including the counties of Donegal, Leitrim, Roscommon and Sligo.

ESB Networks confirmed approximately 93,000 homes and business were without power as of 5.30pm
