Hosted by Lord Mayor Dan Boyle, who has been known to burst into song himself, the reception heard several songs from past winners and runners up in the competition which ran from 1977 to 2019.

The group will have another concert at Mount Cara on Redemption Road and Mount Desert on Lee Road in the coming weeks.

This crop of performers has entertained residents in both city and county nursing homes from the summer months into the winter, and were a massive hit with those in attendance
