The settlement against the Mercy University Hospital is without an admission of liability and the court heard a “full and robust” defence had been filed in the case.

Eva Osborne535 admitted patients were waiting for beds on Wednesday morning, according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO).

The settlement, which was made without any admission of liability, was made in favour of Isaac Keniry who is profoundly disabled and requires 24-hour care due to a rare genetic condition he was born with.
