Former UK housing secretary Michael Gove had said ‘bureaucracies’ blocked attempts to punish some companies.

The former housing secretary claimed attempts to punish Kingspan, Arconic and Celotex when he was in government had been blocked.

Grenfell Tower was covered in flammable materials because of ‘systematic dishonesty’ from those who made and sold cladding and insulation, it said.

It comes following a report suggesting the firm would pay for remediation work in high-rise buildings where its cladding had been used

The series will explore the events of the 2017 fire, which killed 72 people.
