Ireland is to receive the back taxes from Apple as a result of a landmark ruling in the European Court of Justice last month.

Simon Harris said the three-party coalition Government will reflect ‘for a brief period’ of time before coming to a decision on how to use the funds.

Mr Chambers said he expected Ireland would get the majority of the back tax funds, but said the total could be subject to “adjustments” by third party countries without specifying which or how many countries were involved.

The Government and Apple had argued the correct amount of tax had been paid.
